Honey Asparagus
I never ate asparagus as a kid.
I mean when the veggie dish came around the table during dinner, I said a secret prayer that no one would notice if I didn't take any.
And if I did, I was sure to only take 1.
It didn't taste good, and everyone always talked about how it changed the smell of your pee.
That's the last thing you need to hear about a food that already kind of grosses you out.
But then I grew up, and happened to marry a man who actually liked asparagus.
Said it was the best thing - I told him I felt otherwise but would give his a try.
I was shocked by how good and simple his method was.
Took less than 10 minutes to prep, and under 10 in the oven.
The spears were tender and sweet!
I have been a big fan of asparagus since that night, and have made this very simple dish for many a dinner party!

Ingredients:
Asparagus
Honey 2TBS
Salt & Pepper to taste
Diretions:
Preheat oven to 450
Clean the asparagus
I like to remove the leaves on the shoots, a veggie peeler makes an easy job of that.
I will also trim all endings
Get out your trusty baking dish & throw the asparagus in
Add in the honey and salt & pepper
Get you hands in and get all those shoots and flowers coated.
Put in oven for 5-8 minutes.
The shoots should be crunchy
if they are "whimpy" then they might be over cooked
If they are too tough, put them back in
When you take them out at first, do a fork test, should go in easily
Serve and enjoy!
