Our Blue Apron Experience
We received a free week for Blue Apron.
For those who haven't heard of it before, it's a company that sends you ready to prepare meals each week.
You get all the ingredients and an easy to follow recipe.
I am for trying new things, especially when it comes to good fresh food!
Our box worth of three meals arrived on Thursday.
Color us excited for the first meal!

Triple Pork Mazemen
Thursday night is typically left overs or a casserole I made over the weekend. I just don't have the motivation to come home and cook at that point in the week, BUT I was super excited so we jumped right in.
Looking at the recipe on the back, the pork looked like it used just 1 pan, which meant the least amount of dishes.
So we sorted the ingredients and put what we didn't need into the fridge.
I was able to have the dinner ready in 40 minutes, as advertised, but I was cooking the entire time.
Not the easiest thing to do with kids running around and very interested in what was going on.
Started off with roasting garlic, and chopping some veggies I've never worked with before, including pea tips, garlic chives and fresh ginger.
Crisped the bacon, browned the pork, quick boil the fresh roman noodles, added pre-measured spices, put it all together in the pan, and tada - dinner for us (kiddos ate earlier) was ready!

It was delicious!!
Seth described it like dumplings - just yum!
If we continue with this, I wouldn't hesitate to select this one again!

Adobo-Style Chicken
Meal #2 didn't disappoint!
Some of the same flavor a as with the first one:
Garlic
Ginger
Soy Sauce
But it had a different ring and was different enough!
This one took me 40min with no stopping between prep and cooking.
At least the kids were playing at the neighbors house, so they weren't under foot this time.

There were even 2 servings for leftovers!
Not too shabby Blue Apron!
